How to Show Hidden Files and Folders on Your Computer
Sometimes, hidden files and folders are necessary for troubleshooting or managing system files. Below is a guide to help you make them visible on different operating systems.
1. Show Hidden Files and Folders on Windows 10/11
1. Open File Explorer
Press Windows + E to open File Explorer.
2. Go to the View Tab
Click on the View tab at the top of the window.
3. Change Folder Options
- Click on the Options button on the right side of the ribbon.
- Select Change folder and search options.
4. Show Hidden Files
In the Folder Options window:
- Go to the View tab.
- Under Advanced settings, locate Hidden files and folders.
- Select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
5. Apply Changes
Click Apply and then OK. Now, your hidden files and folders should be visible.
